The Dogfish Shark is the most common shark and lives in deep water (about 2,400 feet).  Dogfish sharks eat other fish, squid, and octopus. A Dogfish Sharks Life Expectancy is about 25 to 100 years old. The Dogfish sharks usually swim in schools of other Dogfish sharks.  The Dogfish sharks reproduce using aplacental viviparity and has bears live young.  The gestation period is the longest wait of any other vertebre.  The mother carries the babies about 18 to 24 months.
